    November 4th, 2004 Innovations

Under the direction of Niel Nickolaisen , SIM Intermountain and UITA hosted the 1st Innovation's Forum which was held at the State Office Building, (just north of the State Capital Building). The subject was "Configuration, Change, and Patch Management." 30 attendees from SIM and UITA participated. This was a great working session where valuable best practices for configuration, change, and patch management were discussed. Jeff Ladle presented Associated Foods best practices for configuration, change, and patch management in a Microsoft environment.

Niel then led a discussion to arrive at best practices for patch management. (see notes below)

It was agreed upon by attendees that the session was a success and that we should go ahead with the January 20th forum on Desk Top and Mobile User Management.
