| January 20th, 2005 Innovations Niel Nickolaisen again lead and facilitated the 2nd Innovations Forum held on January 20th at the Salt Lake Community College Larry Miller Campus. The numbers are growing with about 45 attendees present. The meeting began with breakfast and was kicked-off with a few comments from Richard Nelson, President & CEO, Utah Information Technology Association (UITA). Niel Nickolaisen, SIM board member and past president, lead a very interesting discussion on Supporting Remote and Mobile Users. (see notes below) People participated, asked questions and comments made afterwards indicated that it was time well spent. |

Under the direction of Niel Nickolaisen , SIM Intermountain and UITA hosted the 1st Innovation's Forum which was held at the State Office Building, (just north of the State Capital Building). The subject was "Configuration, Change, and Patch Management." 30 attendees from SIM and UITA participated. This was a great working session where valuable best practices for configuration, change, and patch management were discussed. Jeff Ladle presented Associated Foods best practices for configuration, change, and patch management in a Microsoft environment. |
